**(4) Alexander Zverev vs. (12) Taylor Fritz (1:15 p.m.)**

This promises to be an exciting match-up between the powerful Zverev and the home favorite Fritz.

Fritz has navigated the tournament impressively, winning all three of his initial matches without losing a set. Even after dropping the first set to Casper Ruud in the fourth round, he came back to win the next three sets, securing his spot in a major quarterfinal for the third time this year.

Zverev is a player expected to reach this stage, but his journey has been somewhat more challenging than his opponent’s. Despite receiving a first-round bye, the German has needed four sets in three of his four matches to advance.

**(9) Grigor Dimitrov vs. (20) Frances Tiafoe (8:15 p.m.)**

Although often questioned due to his past performance in Grand Slam tournaments, some believed Tiafoe might struggle to reach the quarterfinals with his draw. However, the former semifinalist overcame fellow American Ben Shelton and Alexei Popyrin to make it to the final eight.

Dimitrov, who had not lost a set until his five-set battle with Andrey Rublev in the Round of 16 on Sunday, has been focusing on recovery and rest to prepare for this match.

**(10) Alex de Minaur vs. (25) Jack Draper**

De Minaur is making his third consecutive quarterfinal appearance at a major tournament. The Australian is set to face his toughest opponent yet in Queens, as he has not yet encountered a ranked player in this tournament. Additionally, he has yet to reach a Grand Slam semifinal.

Draper has yet to face any top-30 opponents at the U.S. Open, but he has won every match in straight sets, securing his first-ever appearance in a major quarterfinal.

**(5) Daniil Medvedev**

The Russian star has had a smooth run through the tournament, dropping only one set in the first four rounds. The 2021 U.S. Open champion has reached the semifinals at Flushing Meadows in four of the last five years and has advanced to the final four at four of the last five majors.
